United World Schools (UWS)

  • Support 200 more schools to engage with our partnership programme by 2020.  This involves supporting an estimated 180,000 students in UK secondary schools to get involved in high-quality social action through our ‘learn, share & act’ global citizenship programme.
  • Uncover and highlight examples of schools & colleges across the UK who create a culture of social action allowing students to develop new skills whilst making a positive impact in communities.
  • Enable over 600 UK students to visit their UWS School and see first hand the impact their actions are having on the lives of others
  • Encourage partner schools to nominate their youth social action superstars to be #iwill Ambassadors. We will highlight the positive contributions young people make when the get involved in helping others.

No pledge update yet – we’ve only just made our pledge to the #iwill campaign.

Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life. Over 350 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
