Global Action Plan

About us:

Global Action Plan is a charity that helps people lead more sustainable lifestyles. We do this by making connections between what’s good for people and good for the planet.

–       We’re the people behind Clean Air Day, the UK’s largest air pollution campaign. We’re helping people understand the health impact of air pollution, reduce their own contribution to it, and protect their health.

–       We work with young people on reducing consumerism and increasing wellbeing. We’re working to reduce pressure to consume, which is contributing to a mental health epidemic and is fuelling the unsustainable use of resources.

–       We equip young people to create a sustainable future. We’re helping young people develop skills and knowledge to tackle environmental issues through programmes such as our award-winning global Water Explorer project, which empowers young people to be the green leaders of the future.

Global Action Plan pledge for the #iwill campaign – we pledge to:

  • Help thousands of teachers across the UK to move climate change to the top of their schools’ agenda – not just as a critical education topic but as a rallying call for school-wide change
  • Provide immediate routes for young people to lead action on environmental issues; highlighting their important contribution towards Global Goals agreed by world leaders
  • Bring young people together with progressive business and political minds to foster new thinking, dream up future models of living and challenge current unsustainable norms

We’ve just pledged to the #iwill campaign recently – watch this space for updates on our progress

Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life.
Over 350 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
